Chile: Church Supports Women’s Health in Parral
Local leaders of the Church donated a mammography machine and specialized medical equipment to the High-Resolution Emergency Service (SAR) in Parral on Wednesday, February 12, 2026. Patients will receive local diagnoses and timely care with the new equipment. This eliminates the need to travel to other cities and reduces waiting times and costs for families.
Parral Mayor Patricio Ojeda Alarcón called the donation “a wonderful blessing” for the community, noting it will directly benefit thousands of women enrolled in breast cancer programs and improve long-term access to specialized care.
Chile: Church Supports High School Education
The Church donated educational and computer equipment to the Raúl Broussain High School in Puerto Aysén on Wednesday, February 12, 2026, to strengthen learning and promote classroom inclusion. The donations included sensory kits, noise-canceling headphones, three computers for the computer lab, 35 e-readers for the school library and a portable charging cart.
Church representative Luis Vega Mora said the initiative reflects Christlike service, noting, “We imitate what the Lord taught us. We try to emulate what He showed us.”
School director Loreto Contreras Rebolledo expressed gratitude for the support, saying the donation provides new opportunities to improve teaching tools and expand learning experiences for students.

United States: Church Helps Address Homelessness in Los Angeles
On Tuesday, February 11, 2026, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was recognized by Los Angeles City council members and Hope the Mission, the largest rescue mission in the Greater Los Angeles area, for its ongoing humanitarian collaboration supporting unhoused residents. The ceremony at Hope the Mission celebrated the Church’s contributions, including its role in expanding a state-of-the-art kitchen, which allows it to serve up to 13,500 meals per day.
“Hope the Mission’s partnership with the Church of Jesus Christ gives that hope through their acts of kindness,” said Ken Craft, CEO of Hope the Mission.
“This is faith in action — demonstrating the love of God to all His children,” said Elder Gordon Treadway, a local regional leader for the Church. “We strive to follow Jesus Christ’s commandment to love our neighbor. Having once received hope, we now share that hope with others.”

Benin: Church Supports Women’s and Children’s Health Care
Medical equipment was donated to the Lagune University Hospital for Mother and Child (CHU-MEL) in Cotonou on Monday, February 10, 2026. The donations included wheelchairs, stretchers, vital-sign monitors, pulse oximeters, cribs, ventilators, radiant warming tables and other essential items to help relieve resource shortages and improve maternal, neonatal and pediatric care.

Ghana: Classrooms, Toilets and Clean Water Bless Schoolchildren
Local Church leaders funded a project to build new classrooms, sanitary facilities and a clean water system for schoolchildren in the remote community of Avadre. The facilities were officially handed over to the school on Thursday, February 6, 2026.
“Our children will no longer study under trees,” said traditional ruler Torgbe Gbena IV. “This facility brings dignity, hope, and a brighter future for our community.”

Democratic Republic of the Congo: Church Improves Learning Conditions
Classrooms and sanitation facilities were upgraded at Tango Hapo Primary School 1 and 2 in Lubumbashi on Thursday, February 6, 2026, through a humanitarian donation from the Church. The donation included 450 student desks, drinking-water boreholes, furniture for teachers and administrators, and new toilet facilities for students and staff.

Czech Republic: New Church Community Center to Open in Prague
A new Church community center in Prague 4 Municipal District is nearing completion. The facility, which is scheduled to open late May or early June 2026, will serve both Latter-day Saints and the public, offering space for worship services, cultural and educational events, sports activities, and community programs.
Church leaders said the center is intended to be a place for dialogue, service and cooperation with the wider community, and it may also be used for humanitarian or crisis response efforts.

Argentina: Church Provides Aid to Families After Landslide
Local members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina, on Tuesday, February 3, provided humanitarian assistance to families evacuated by the Cerro Hermitte landslide. Mexico: Church Donates Ventilators for Children with Respiratory Distress
On Sunday, January 29, 2026, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints donated three neonatal ventilators to the DIF Hidalgo Children’s Hospital in Pachuca, Hidalgo. The equipment will help nearly 500 babies with respiratory distress each year, improving survival outcomes and the quality of pediatric intensive care.
