Lilith, the First Woman and Dark Mother, is a figure whose name has echoed across cultures for over three thousand years.
Known as Lilītu in ancient Mesopotamia, she was seen as a spirit of the night wind, independence, and fierce sexuality. In Jewish folklore she becomes the one who would not submit to Adam, choosing exile and freedom over obedience.
These prayers I’ve drawn from historical linguistic traditions and translated into English. They are crafted to align the worshipper (or practitioner) with her powers of love, liberation, protection, and influence. They may be spoken during meditation, at a dedicated altar, or woven into a larger ceremonial rite.
