With so many ways to consume information in today’s digital age, most people turn to visual content daily for everything from entertainment and encouragement to community, education, and personal development.
YouTube is my favorite platform by far in the visual content space, as it offers a vast array of Christian channels that provide opportunities for believers to deepen their faith through visually engaging messages.
In this post, I am excited to share why you should consider watching Christian YouTube channels, as well as my top recommendations to enrich your spiritual life.
Why Consider Christian YouTube Channels?
I’ll start with a brief history of YouTube and how it became the dominant platform that it is today.
A Brief History of YouTube
YouTube’s history began in February 2005 when former PayPal employees Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim founded the video-sharing platform. Initially envisioned as a dating service, it pivoted to a general video-sharing site after its beta launch in May 2005. Google acquired YouTube for $1.65 billion in October 2006, and the platform has since grown into the dominant online video service that it is today.
YouTube is the second most visited website (after Google) and the most popular social media platform by a significant margin.
As of August 2025, there were over 115 million YouTube channels worldwide, with approximately 60 million actively uploading content.
What Are the Benefits of Christian YouTube Channels?
While there is no exact number of Christian YouTube channels, there are likely hundreds of thousands, as indicated by the vast and growing variety of content from individual faith-based creators, churches, ministries, and large organizations such as the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).
YouTube has become one of the most accessible and versatile platforms for spiritual growth. Whether you enjoy sermons, Bible studies, Live worship sessions, apologetics, Christian humor, Christian lifestyle content, or discussions on current events from a Christian perspective, there’s something for every believer.
Here are five key benefits of including Christian YouTube channels as a part of your faith journey:
- Convenient Access: Whether you’re at home, commuting, or taking a break during your day, you can easily stream uplifting content on any device at any time.

My Top 20 Christian YouTube Channel Recommendations
To avoid having to conduct research on your own, in this section, I will provide my personal list of 20 Christian YouTube Channel recommendations to help kick-start your viewing journey.
Please note that since each channel is vastly different, this list is not in any order of preference.
Biblical Encouragement and Truth (The B.E.A.T) is an online video ministry led by Allen Parr, a Christian author, national speaker, and ordained minister with a master’s degree in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary.
The BEAT produces short videos that address common questions most Christians have and provides a forum for people to discuss various theological concepts. Tune in to learn what the Bible has to say about a variety of topics, including the Christian use of AI, alcohol and marijuana use, everything you could ask about sex, false teachers, and the end times. Also learn the answers to questions such as should Christians consider cremation, why 30 million Americans have left the faith, does the Bible condone slavery, and what 10 biblical archaeological discoveries give evidence that Christianity is true.

2. Ruslan KD
Ruslan KD, a Christian YouTuber of Armenian descent, was a refugee from Baku, Azerbaijan, before moving to the U.S. He started his YouTube channel in the mid-2010s, which has grown into a popular platform for discussions on faith, lifestyle, and music.
Known for his insightful commentary on Christian living, culture, and personal development, Ruslan is also a speaker, author, and advocate for godly ambition. His mission is to encourage, empower, and inspire people to live a life that blesses God.
With the Perrys delivers a lot of truth in a short amount of time. Renowned Christian couple Preston Perry (poet, apologist, author, and speaker) and Jackie Hill Perry (Christian rapper, poet, Bible teacher, and author) bring their humor, honesty, and insight into conversations on everything from relationships and theology to politics, race, sex, fashion, and parenting.
4. Mike Winger
After serving for 14 years as a pastor in the local church, Mike Winger (host of the Bible Thinker podcast) has a passion for helping others to carefully and thoughtfully understand and apply the Bible by creating well-researched biblical content.
You will learn to think biblically about everything so you can deal with false teaching, know what Scripture says about specific issues, prove Christianity is true, go deep into theology, and become a go-to resource for biblical knowledge so you can help others.
Alisa Childers is a former Christian Contemporary Music recording artist with the Dove Award-winning group ZOEgirl.
As a Christian author, teacher, and apologist, she now hosts her own podcast and YouTube channel that seeks to equip Christians to identify the core beliefs of historic Christianity, discern its counterfeits, and proclaim the gospel with clarity, kindness, and truth.

6. Tony Evans
On the official YouTube channel of renowned Dr. Tony Evans (evangelical pastor, speaker, and author) you’ll find powerful teachings and practical insights to help you grow as a kingdom disciple. Watch short devotionals, full-length sermons, and inspiring messages designed to strengthen your faith and deepen your walk with God.
Join Dr. Evans as he unpacks biblical truth and guides you toward spiritual wholeness.
We all wrestle with questions about God, the Bible, and faith. With the tagline “Helping Faith Make Sense”, The Jude 3 Project channel helps the Black community know what they believe and why they believe it. They do this through transformative events, curriculum, online courses, thoughtfully curated discussions, and engaging multimedia storytelling.
8. Lecrae
The multiple Grammy Award-winning, New York Times bestselling author, Lecrae, has evolved from primarily a Christian rap artist into an entrepreneur, speaker, activist, thought leader, and philanthropist.
By being honest about the challenges and trauma he’s faced, on his YouTube channel, Lecrae dives into the hard things that many Christians won’t. He and several other renowned guests talk about what life looks like when, as a Christian, you lose control, struggle, and go off the deep end. This channel is not for perfect people but for those trying to pick up the pieces and find a way forward with vulnerability, honesty, and strength in Christ.
If you’ve ever read a passage of Scripture and found yourself wondering, ‘What did I just read?’, then The Bible Recap is perfect for you. It follows a chronological Bible reading plan and is a short daily recap by creator and host, Tara-Leigh Cobble (speaker, author, teacher, podcaster). She’ll highlight and summarize the daily reading in a casual, easy-to-understand way.
10. BibleProject
With over 5 million subscribers, the BibleProject is known for creating free resources to help people experience and understand the Bible. With tons of animated overviews of biblical books and key themes, you will learn how to read the Bible, how it was written, and how to study it with greater insight.

This YouTube channel exists to cross-examine ideas against the truth of Christianity. Here you’ll find content from the Cross Examined team led by founder & president Dr. Frank Turek, the co-author of the best-selling Christian apologetics book, ‘I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be An Atheist’ (& several more).
Their content includes Q&A clips from live college campus presentations around the country, debates with well-known atheists, interviews, podcast highlights, animation shorts, & their weekly Livestream show, ‘Hope One’, demonstrating how historical, archaeological, scientific, & philosophical evidence all support what only the Christian worldview claims.
